A monthly pension for widows from below-poverty-line households, under the National Social Assistance Programme.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicant is female
- Age is between 40 and 79 years
- Belongs to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) / priority-ration-card household
- Applicant is a widow
Note: For widows aged 40–79 from BPL households (80+ move to old-age pension). Amounts shown are the central share; states often add a top-up. Confirm locally.
Documents required
- Aadhaar / identity proof
- Age proof
- Death certificate of spouse
- BPL / income documentation
- Bank / post office account
