National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMSS)

Scholarship to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to reduce drop-out at class 8 and encourage study through class 12.
Eligibility criteria
- Currently a student
- Age is between 13 and 18 years
- Annual family income is ₹3.5 lakh or less
Note: For students studying in classes 9–12 in government, local body and government-aided schools. Family income ceiling is ₹3.5 lakh per year. A selection test is conducted by states/UTs.
Documents required
- Class 7/8 mark sheet (merit)
- Income certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Bank account (Aadhaar-linked)
- School / enrolment proof

- 2Keep the required documents ready: Class 7/8 mark sheet (merit), Income certificate, Category certificate (if applicable), Bank account (Aadhaar-linked), School / enrolment proof.

- 4Note the deadline: Annual — via National Scholarship Portal.
