Free LPG connection to women of poor households to provide clean cooking fuel and reduce reliance on traditional fuels.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicant is female
- Age is 18 years or above
- Belongs to a poor / eligible household (BPL or notified category)
- Household has no existing LPG connection in any member's name
Note: Applicant must be an adult woman from a poor household (SECC / notified categories such as SC/ST, PMAY, Antyodaya, forest dwellers, etc.) with no existing LPG connection. Confirm eligible categories on the portal.
Documents required
- Aadhaar card (of the woman applicant)
- Ration card / proof of BPL / eligible category
- Bank account (Aadhaar-linked)
- Address proof
How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)
- 1Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria (use the eligibility checker below).
- 2Keep the required documents ready: Aadhaar card (of the woman applicant), Ration card / proof of BPL / eligible category, Bank account (Aadhaar-linked), Address proof.
