National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)

Paid, on-the-job apprenticeships across trades, with the government sharing part of the stipend cost with employers.
Eligibility criteria
- Age is 14 years or above
Note: Minimum age 14 (18 for hazardous trades); minimum class-5 pass. Targets ITI pass-outs and Class 8/10/12 completers, diploma and skill-certificate holders. A 2025 stipend revision has been proposed — confirm current rates on the portal.
